Strategic Sourcing Excellence

I have offered outsourcing to clients, helped implement outsourcing, helped the recovery of previously ineffective outsourcing, bought new services and built and institutionalized client sourcing capabilities. My experience in structuring, selling, delivering, buying and governing IT, Finance and operational services (from CSC, Accenture, McKinsey, Zurich Insurance, and UBS) positions me well to help your organization achieve excellence in sourcing services.

Services I am familiar with include IT (application development, networking, desktops, infrastructure) and operations (procurement, financial processing, client services, customer centers). With cross-functional teams, I lead the process from need to delivery. I respect process and legal constraints, identify and express solution design and leverage the psychology of human interactions to craft and negotiate deal architectures and commercials. 
Strategic sourcing can be either projects, typically large projects, to source solutions, or increasing the strategic level of every day procurement by crafting and applying category strategies. I have done both. I think it is a better strategy to invest in category capabilities than to search for and drive short-term savings.
